Niatsu releases Version 2.0

Niatsu

Niatsu, the climate intelligence platform for the food industry, has released a major update introducing multilingual support, FLAG emissions integration, and significant expansion of its global data foundation. The update reinforces Niatsu’s mission to make climate transparency accessible, precise, and actionable across international food systems.

Food is global and now Niatsu is too. The platform can now be used in five languages: English, German, French, Italian, and Spanish. This allows users to work in their preferred language and ensures that product information can be processed consistently across international teams. “Global transparency starts with understanding customers data,” said Jakob Tresch, CTO at Niatsu.

The release also introduces full FLAG (Forest, Land and Agriculture) emissions transparency, covering greenhouse gases from land use, agriculture, and forestry, sectors responsible for more than a quarter of global emissions. By including FLAG data, Niatsu enables food manufacturers to create more detailed, accurate, and standard-compliant climate reports, giving them a deeper understanding of where their emissions truly come from.

In addition, Niatsu continues to expand its data foundation, integrating new global datasets on electricity emissions and thousands of new ingredients and updated data points for 2025. This ensures that users can calculate product footprints with even greater accuracy and global relevance.
